I’m a multidisciplinary Black trans woman, born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, living my human experience one day at a time. I move at the intersection of worldbuilding, music, writing, and visual storytelling. My work channels elements of cosmic mythology, queer futurism, sacred geometry, and the spectrum of my spiritual perception.
As a child, I taught myself how to play the piano by ear, before going on to study classical piano at Pittsburgh CAPA. During that time, I taught myself guitar, which eventually led to me learning to produce music and collaborating with other artists. Even with my strictly instrumental tracks, I Iove building narratives and worlds, while giving room for other listeners to find their own stories.
I also draw abstract art, write sci-fi and fantasy, and design everything that accompanies my stories: concept art, book covers, visual identities. I use photography to capture moments, and channel energy of what’s going on in my head. Often times, I use my photography as opportunities to hone and display my vision as a cinematographer.
Right now, I’m preparing to self-publish the first book in a multi-part saga I’ve been building for over a decade. I created the universe, its language, systems, narrative, and visuals entirely on my own. That universe is deeply tied to my own transformation in many forms, and I’m sure these books will reach exactly who they need to, whether it’s 50 people or 5 million people.
I’ve worked a lot of jobs to stay afloat. I’ve questioned whether I’d ever make it as an artist, and through my struggles, I’ve learned that all of my trauma shifts, mistakes and losses, helped me learn more about myself, and how to best translate my experiences into art. Even when I’ve been unsure of where I stand, I still keep creating and making marks when it’s time.
