Behind the Dream
These are a compilation of the unedited versions of Fever Dream Academy, and the unreleased images that I decided not to make part of the project. The entirety of the day was pretty fairly peaceful, considering my state of mind around this time. As I walked around the location, I recalled memories of my childhood, triggered by the sounds, scents, and general feeling of the atmosphere that day.
Being over a week into November, it was a warm day, and I didn’t need a jacket for the time I had been out. The skies were clear as a summer afternoon, and as I walked around, it began to feel like I was the last kid to leave an afterschool program. I thought about Stranger Things and the general atmosphere which felt like schools in the 90’s. The vacant buildings sustained a presence that people still regularly occupied the locations, just without the abundance of technological devices and excessive artificial lighting.

Looking back, It doesn’t feel like this was taken four years ago. It feels like it was much longer ago than that.
